Christian Health has been serving the community since 1911 with senior living, short-term rehab, and mental health services. The Vista was developed on a 30 plus acre site, nestled in the beautiful Ramapo Mountains, and adjacent to the Christian Health’s current Wyckoff/Hawthorne campus. It was developed with a vision of extending Christian Health’s already stellar senior living offerings to the active senior population in northern New Jersey. The program was developed with a focus on wellness and with numerous amenities in a more than 30,000 SF community center including multiple dining venues, wellness center, salon/spa, aquatic center, golf simulator, and a state of the art performing arts center.

The Vista had a long road to travel to get completed. An extended period of land development and zoning approval, including construction during a global pandemic, were a few of the hurdles to be overcome. Christian Health leadership, with CEO Douglas Struyk at the helm, worked closely with the development experts, led by Daniel Collins and Kristopher Powell while at Eventus to form a cohesive project team that persevered and stayed the course. The project team worked through each hurdle to achieve a highly successful outcome that met the organization’s mission, goals, quality standards, and budgeted funding. The Vista has since received numerous awards for its design.
